Dear Family and Friends,
I was recently recommended and accepted to participate as a student leader in the People to People “Traditions of Europe” trip, where I will visit France, England, Ireland, Wales, Netherlands, and Belgium. The 19-day experience includes a mock interview, interaction with other students my age, educational workshops and a university campus visit.
I am currently asking my family and friends for financial sponsorship to help me with tuition, and I hope I can count on your support. In case you haven’t heard of People to People, I have enclosed a link (www.studentambassadors.org) where you will be able to stock up in information about this wonderful organization. President Dwight D. Eisenhower founded People to People in 1956. He believed that if people from different cultures could come together in peace and friendship, so eventually would nations.
People to People student leaders are carefully evaluated before their acceptance into the program. I am excited to share my experience with my peers, family and friends when I return. As a student leader I can earn high school and college credit because of the many educational elements in my program. The objective of the program is to build leadership skills among
The program tuition is around $7,200.00, which includes meals, transportation, accommodations, and educational activities. I am asking all the people that I can to donate as much as they wish since anything will help me reach my goal. Is it possible for you to assist me by making a contribution? I plan to share my experience with friends and family when I return by presenting my journal and photographs.
My program tuition is due in May. You can donate any way you wish. Checks may be made payable my father (Francisco Cano) or if you prefer to People to People and forwarded to me in the enclosed, self-addressed envelope. Also you can donate through PayPal (Credit or Debit Card) here in my web page. Your generous contribution would enable me to share in this wonderful opportunity.
Thank you in advance for your gracious consideration and support.
Sincerely yours,
Francisco Cano
